The highly anticipated fitness game, Wii Fit, is headed to Japanese stores come December 1st. The game comes as one of Nintendo’s ongoing efforts to promote the Wii as more than just a gaming console. Why go to the gym when you can just power up your Wii?

The game utilizes the Balance Board peripheral that contains pressure sensors to monitor movement and coordinate it with the action on the screen.

Some information indicates that football and skiing will be part of the Wii Fit activites, as well as more traditional forms of physical fitness like yoga and aerobics.

The game will be sold for ¥8800, or approximately $75 USD.
