Wii DVD Rumors
The Wii Official website has recently been upated with an FAQ that hints (vaguely) at the possibilty of an Wii console update that will include DVD playback capabilities.
Q: Can the Wii console playback music CDs and DVDs?
A: The Wii console released in the end of 2006 does not have the feature to playback music CDs or DVDs.
Perhaps a Wii Elite console is in the works?
For me, DVD playback is hardly a priority. I have a DVD player and a computer that does the job just fine. I’d rather Nintendo focus on the games.
But I’m sure for those who are anxiously awaiting the ability to play DVDs on your Wii this is potentiall good news.
