Sadako (The Ring) - The woman who tries hard to get out of the well
I admit that Japanese horror movies are more horrifying than Korean ones. In Korean horrors, you always get a baddies-come-to-no-good or even heart-wrenching endings but in Jap horrors, there may be no ending or it comes to a closure that all die together except the lead or the ghosts (anyway they are dead already so no hard feelings).
In Jap horrors, the leading cast is usually female (probably girls can convince the audience better than guys). This trend is carried into Japanese video game horrors such as the Fatal Frame series. The upcoming and the fourth installment of the Fatal Frame franchise titled Fatal Frame 4: The Mask Of The Lunar Eclipse will come to the Nintendo Wii, not the PS3 or Xbox 360.
Developed by Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture (No More Heroes) and published by Nintendo, every one wonders if Nintendo has bought the sexy-girls, scary-camera series. Will FF4 look great and scary on the Wii? The answer will be revealed on 31st July in Japan.
No date has confirmed for the US but at least we can head down to the official site for some neat stuff.
A lot of Wii/FPS fans have high expectations for The Conduit. This first person shooter was built specifically for the Wii console and while many are also cynical that the Wii Remote can handle the necessary precision needed to play an FPS game effectively, there’s a lot of hope in the air.
It will be hard to say whether The Conduit manages to please the FPS fans before the game makes its debut, but in the meantime, there’s always the trailer.

How often do you get a Wii Remote, an old Nintendo Zapper, a NES controller, Xbox and 360 pads, Atari joystick and a Guitar Hero Les Paul controller all in one place? Although these accessories are not 1:1, they do look like the real stuff. Retro and new gaming in a $19.99 bracelet charm. Nice.

The slew of information that will surely flow our way with E3 is already starting. Today, Nintendo announced a new title for the Wii: Wario Land: Shake It! Nintendo describes the game as a “classic side-scroller,” with players controlling Wario with the Wii Remote.
The game is slated for a September 25th release. And for those of you Nintendo lovers, there was some Nintendo DS news as well. The company will be releasing Kirb Super Star Ultra and Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir for the portable console. The latter will be released on September 8th and the former on September 29th.
Next time, you may be able to surf the land of Azeroth in World of Warcraft with a hacked Wii Balance Board, just like Simon and Mattieu from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. We can conclude that we can surf in any virtual world or environment such as Google Earth, Second Life and WoW from now on.
Emergency Heroes from Ubisoft reminds me of Crazy Taxi except you are driving around as a police, fire or rescue vehicle to save or kill people, depends how you look at it.
This Crazy Guitar Controller for the Wii may look similar to the Les Paul in Guitar Hero III but with a closer inspection, the fret buttons do look cheap. Maybe it’s just me or I prefer innovation rather than just mere copying. You can get it for $59.33 (not cheap) at DealExtreme.
Ubisoft doesn’t seem to think there’s enough sporty-type games for the Wii so they’ve decided to throw another into the mix: Sports Party. This exclusive Wii game will feature nine activities for you to enjoy alone or in the company of friends and family.
Set on a tropical island, Sports Party gives up to four players the opportunity to compete against each other in basketball, croquet, lawn darts, badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, and miniature golf.
Sports Party will be the first title in the Party Zone series from Ubisoft so expect a few more games along these lines.
