No Price Cut for Nintendo Wii
Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, revealed on Friday’s analyst meeting that the company would not be cutting prices any time soon. This decision applies both to the Wii and to the Nintendo DS.
“Our earnings projection for the year is not based on hardware price cuts, and I don’t think we are going to need them,” he said.
Considering how quickly the Wii’s been flying off the shelves I’m not surprised by Nintendo’s decision to keep prices as they are. After all, the Wii is the cheapest of the consoles, so why go even cheaper when they don’t have to?
