Guitar Hero III Replacement Discs For Wii Coming Your Way, Soon, Next Year

We know that the Wii version of Guitar Hero III is mono and can’t deliver true Dolby Digital 5.1 stereo sound, this is truly annoying for many Wii Guitar freaks, including me. Recently, Activison has revealed that re-mastered GHIII discs are available in early 2008 free-of-charge to those who already got the mono GHIII.
Activision spokeswoman, Rhy-Ming Poon, spoke to IGN, “We expect to have re-mastered discs available by early 2008 and we will be offering consumers replacement discs at no cost once they become available. We thank all of our customers for their support and patience.”
In the mean time, you have to settle for near-stereo experience in Star Power mode.

I think there’s no deadline cos if you got the mono Wii version, you can get the replacement. US will be nt much of a problem in this case.

I just got the remastered disk. I have an LG HDTV with Dolby Digital and the audio is mostly in mono. Only a few songs are in stereo. I called the Activision helpline and they admited that others had the same problem. What a downer.

Well, make sure to have signature upon reception if you’re sending your game disk over. 2 of my friends are in the same situation that I am: we sent the game, and the idiots lost the disks or I don’t know what. One thing is sure, I’m not going to let those bastards get away with it:

This morning, I received a magnificent guitar face plate offered by Activision. This is great stuff, but would you mind sending me the replacement disk as well so I can start playing this game already? Thanks.
