Nintendo of Europe is looking to kick it up a notch with a Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament, which makes sense - after all, the game is all about competition. It’s looking very likely that European players might get a chance to compete in a regional tournament. That’d be excellent.

Mario Kart Wii will be on a 10th April Japanese release date. 5800 yen ($54) for a Wii steering wheel and game bundle. Plus your Miis can become the racers and motorbikes are selectable. To add, 32 tracks with up to 12 players can race online.

It’s all fun and games until someone loses an arcade. It seems that Japanese manufacturers Namco and Sega will be reducing the number of arcades in Japan due to the Wii’s popularity.
Namco alone plans to shut down anywhere between fifty to sixty arcades, which is roughly 20%! Meanwhile, Sega is planning to shutdown 100 arcades!
